Frost & Sullivan’s Latest Enterprise Report on Digital Transformations

Enterprises continue to accelerate digital transformations. In a recent Frost & Sullivan survey of approximately 2,000 IT decision-makers, nearly two-thirds listed digital transformation as a top priority. However, most of the same respondents are unhappy with the progress they have seen thus far.

Enterprises see the Cloud as a way to enhance business operations with better access to data and collaboration tools across the enterprise, but they also face uncertainty and roadblocks. The pace of technology advancements, changing market conditions, skilled resources, and compliance and security concerns are top of mind. But companies must overcome these roadblocks if they want to remain competitive in a changing business landscape—and reap the benefits of a truly connected and collaborative workplace.

A recent Frost & Sullivan book, “Looking to Make Digital Transformation a Reality?”, dives into the challenges organizations face when migrating to the Cloud. The report also provides 5 key strategies enterprises can use to smooth the journey. In this blog, we will focus on the three strategies that are tightly tied to creating truly collaborative workspaces.

The Cloud is Critical

Microsoft Azure lets organizations build, run, and manage applications across multiple clouds, on-premises, and at the edge, with the tools and frameworks of their choice. Microsoft has a strong partnership with SAP and Lemongrass which combines the best of SAP on Azure with the benefits of the Cloud. Partners like Lemongrass have the experience, vision & tools to help organizations make the SAP on Azure transition & handle complex migrations.

Enterprises moving to SAP on Azure see IT cost reductions, increased speed and scalability, line-of-business process improvements, and the critical ability to consolidate disparate data systems.  And in today’s world where collaboration and working from anywhere are crucial, the cloud stands out as a foundation for the hybrid work ecosystem.

Familiar Tools in an Integrated Ecosystem

Migrating to the Cloud presents a unique opportunity to plan, design, and migrate systems in a way that lets users get up and running quickly. This is achieved when users access the new capabilities from within the tools they use every day. The integrated nature of Cloud ecosystems lets users work in familiar communications and collaboration applications while underlying system applications manage and disseminate data from all areas of the enterprise. In addition, the enhanced security associated with the Cloud ensures data, regardless of where it sits in the organization, is highly secure.

Support for Remote and Virtual Workers

With more than half of all employees likely to have a hybrid work arrangement, it is imperative that organizations support their employees regardless of location. One of the key investment drivers for the shift to the cloud is the ability to give employees, suppliers, and customers secure remote access from anywhere or any device. Security controls protect identity and access for an additional layer of security.
